In welcoming the year of 2011, GoodNews Production in conjunction with The Company Studio (TCS) and Homecooking Jakarta will present Benji B, one of the UK’s most respected and influential DJs.
For the past 8 years, Benji B has hosted his own weekly radio show on the influental BBC Radio 1Xtra since the station’s launched in 2002. Starting on October 14, Benji B presented his evening new show on BBC Radio 1 that was ran by Mary Anne Hobbs, known as the champion of new dance music.
Benji’s weekly show has given him the liberty to freely express and share his taste of music; playing the latest and greatest music from the entire spectrum of Dubstep, Hiphop, House, Funk, Boogie, Detroit Techno, to Broken Beats. He also has been inviting some of the very best artists to his radio show for interviews and exclusive mixes ranging from Mayer Hawthorne, Theo Parrish, Jamie Woon, Ramadanman, J-Rocc, Mayer, Kanye West, to Dorian Concept.
Benji B is the “Deejay of DJ”. He has been dedicating his wide music journey in finding and supporting fine cutting edge music. With his passion for exploring future beats, Benji B has gained attention from the International music scenes that have been inviting him to play in different parts of the world. Apart of what he does with BBC Radio 1, he also runs a monthly event called “Deviation Session” in the east of London, showcasing many famous DJs and producers such as Flying Lotus, J Davey, Africa Hi Tech, Martyn and Skream to Moodymann, Dam-Funk and many more.
Benji B’s Live DJ Set will bring you all the way through from Hip-Hop, Dubstep, House, Soul, Funk, to Broken Beats in his first show in Indonesia.
